Drawing I

This is a specialty visual arts course. Art Foundations I is a prerequisite. It meets the Standards and Objectives of the Utah State Core Curriculum for Drawing I.

Listed below are required supplies. A document containing this information, and also locations of local retail art supplies stores, is available as a downloadable attachment at the bottom of this page in the Attachments section.

STUDENT-SUPPLIED MATERIALS Due Monday, September 5^th
This is your first assignment = 20 points

MATERIALS LIST:

- One Drawing Pad (9’ x 12’: App. 30 to 50 sheets) – for regular assignments.

- One Small Drawing Pad (examples: 3.5” x 4.75”, or 6.30" x 8.5"; App. 50 sheets) – for daily warm-up sketches.

- Four Drawing Pencils (two 2B & two 4B)

- Two white charcoal pencils

- One set of colored pencils

- One or two Kneaded Erasers (Grey “stretchy” type; NOT the crumbly gum-type cubes)

- Small box of black Ultra Fine-Point Markers (app. 6-12 markers)

- One portable (hand-held) pencil sharpener that catches shavings (must have to sharpen colored pencils)

- Ruler (transparent)

- Two glue sticks (white glue only)

- Supplies storage box (backpack/locker)
